JOURNEY is BHA’s Enhanced Mental Health Program that operates out of our Willow Academy campus. BHA is offering this comprehensive wellness program to students grades K-12 that utilizes evidence-based practices in a student-centered environment that empowers individuals to reach new levels of success. This comprehensive blend of academics and therapeutic intervention focuses not only on a student’s academic performance but on the overall mental health and wellness of the student. Our goal is to have our students apply the skills learned in BHA’s JOURNEY program to their everyday lives, and successfully return to their home school district. JOURNEY offers regular team meetings to review the progress made and develop a transition plan when applicable.

The JOURNEY Program offers psychoeducation to students, family system, school districts, and other service providers to ensure that all mental health and wellness needs are being met for the student. This all-encompassing program provides state-aligned curriculum and academic support in a therapeutic and structured environment. Students will be held to their home school district’s academic standards while being supported in an environment that identifies and meets a student’s social-emotional needs.

JOURNEY provides students with the tools and opportunities that promote personal growth and success at home, in school, and in the community. While enrolled in the JOURNEY Program, students will receive Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, and Family Therapy. Experienced staff members work with students in a classroom/group setting where positive peer support is part of the healing initiative. Group sessions are designed to increase self-confidence, enhance mental stability, and develop healthy coping skills. Our students will be provided opportunities to participate in therapeutic, community-based activities to practice the skills needed to be an active and productive member of the community.
